About Natalya Getman Fine Art

My name is Natalya Getman, and I am deeply passionate about the art of dance and the world of visual expression.
With a background as a former professional ballet dancer, I currently serve as the director of a preprofessional ballet school nestled in the picturesque state of Maine, USA. Here, I have the privilege of imparting my knowledge to aspiring young dancers, while also indulging in my love for choreography and presenting my creative visions on the stage for the audience to enjoy.
 

As an artistic soul, I've always sought diverse avenues for self-expression through various art forms. A relatively recent discovery that has truly enchanted me is the world of color pencils and the magic they bring to my creations. Having spent a lifetime as a nature and animal enthusiast, I find myself irresistibly drawn to capturing the essence and beauty of the natural world through my art.
 

My background as a professional dancer has cultivated in me a meticulous eye for detail, a quality that seamlessly transfers to my artwork. I constantly strive for realism in my drawings, endeavoring to encapsulate the unique characteristics of each subject I portray. When I am immersed in the act of painting, I establish an intimate connection with the piece I'm creating.
